I believe that the essence of art is 'play'. Not just 'play', but 'creative play' by internal, subjective, order and aesthetic consciousness. A state of exhilaration that is inherent in every human being, that is, a state of happiness. Sometimes excitingly, sometimes calmly, autonomous and impulsive, I think of it as a work of drawing out the rules in the irregularities and the perfection in the incompleteness from the world beyond consciousness to the world of visible manifestation.
예술의 본질은 '놀이' 라고 생각한다. 그냥 '놀이' 가 아니라, 내적이며, 주관적인, 질서와 미의식에 의한 '창조적인 놀이'. 인간이라면 누구나 본능적으로 내재되어 있는 신명이 나는 상태, 곧, 행복한 상태. 때로는 신나게, 때로는 차분하게, 자율적이며, 충동적인, 불규칙 속의 규칙, 미완성 속의 완성을 의식 너머의 세계에서 눈에 보이는 현실의 세계로 끌어내는 작업이라고 생각한다.
